Chesil Cove is just 200 yards away …. and there is a good selection of local restaurants, pubs and take-aways to suit every taste. It's no distance to the sailing academy or windsurf and kitesurfing centres and local transport links are good. The road is quite steep nearby.

On entering the lounge through a small lobby you are immediately struck …. by that natural old world charm of oak beams, pine floors and natural stone walls. The property is centrally heated - but for winter there is nothing like a real fire in the wood burning stove - and logs are supplied. There's a plasma TV with Freeview and built in DVD and also a radio/CD player with iPod socket and WiFi internet connectivity.

A welcome pack of chocs and a bottle of wine also await you.

No expense has been spared with the stylish new kitchen …. complete with antique pine floor and a pine dining table with seating for four. There is a gas hob, electric oven, fridge /freezer, coffee maker, microwave and all the essential utensils. There's also a dishwasher and washer/drier. A breakfast pack comprising tea, coffee, sugar, bread, bacon and eggs is also included in the price of your stay.

Beyond the kitchen there is a small walled courtyard …. with BBQ and garden dining table and chairs and finally up a flight of steps a further small lawn with great views over the roof tops to the sea.

The spacious bathroom has a proper shower cubicle - with a heated towel rail for the big fluffy bath towels. Beach towels are also included in the price.

The master bedroom boasts a spectacular kingsize double bed which is provided with duvet and pillows and all bed linen. There's plenty of cupboard and hanging space.

Up a final steep flight of stairs the bright and airy attic bedroom has two single beds and plenty of cupboard space.

It's also host to an unusual family of critters, just like next door!
