Polly's Cottage is a cosy two bedroom Quarryman's cottage built around three hundred years ago …. situated in Wakeham, not far from the Portland Museum and the path down to Church Ope Cove. Despite Polly's age there are many tasteful refinements including for 2009 a luxurious new bathroom with under tile heating.

There is on-street parking and a summer bus service to Portland Bill and Weymouth. There is an all-year service to Weymouth from Easton Square. The Sailing Academy is under ten minutes by car. Close by, in the village of Easton, there is a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, all within easy walking distance.

Polly's Cottage is superbly situated to head off in any direction .… to walk the stunning cliffs and coves of Portland, while Church Ope Cove itself enjoys probably the cleanest bathing water in the country.

Polly's oozes character and old world charm …. the lounge has a proper wood burning stove (with a supply of logs) and seating for four including two reclining armchairs. There is a TV, radio, DVD player and plenty of DVDs, books and games. Children are most welcome, but guests are advised to take all necessary safety precautions as the fire can get very hot and stairs in the property are fairly steep!
